Role: Home Support Worker/ Caregiver/ Companion/PSW/Care Attendant

As a Home Support Worker/Caregiver/Elderly companion, you will help seniors in your community to live independently and safely by assisting them with daily tasks and self-care activities.

You will receive free and paid training in-class program designed to teach you the skills needed for the Home Support Worker/ Caregiver/Elderly Companion job position. Upon completion, you will be eligible for full-time hours. Benefits will be available at the end of your probation (three months).

What you will do:

• Provide home healthcare services to seniors at their preferred location (London and surrounding areas)

• Prepare meals and assist with feeding

• Perform basic housekeeping duties

• Provide companionship and respite care support for the well-being of elders and their families.

• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing

• Assist seniors with activities of daily living

What you bring:

• Compassion and listening skills

• Passion for making a difference in your community

• Ability to work every other weekend

• Experience working with seniors is an asset

• Ability to pass or satisfy a Criminal Background screening upon hire

• Prior experience performing personal hygiene care is advantageous but not required

• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are assets with medication administration and reminders
